BIRTHDAYS past & BIRTHDAYS present

Here is a picture from almost 2 weeks ago, when we celebrated Sydney's 13th Birthday here in Amarillo on the 10th.
It is hard to believe that my baby sister is a teenager! It seems like just a while back, she was a baby and I was the teen... now, I'm a Mom to a baby and she is the teen!
Speaking of "Mom," here is a Farley girls picture! Oh how blessed we are to all have each other!

With this beautiful weather, Erin & I ventured to the park Monday after lunch. Monday was Livi's first time to swing. She is almost 8 months old. She loved it!

Here is her "Bubba Cuz" doing the same thing... loving every minute in the swing!

Hahahahahahahaaa... this adorable picture makes me laugh for a long time! These 2 are adorable, although you may wonder what Reece is wearing. Haha. For the sake of his ears in the wind, I used the hooded jacket we had in the car to cover his head and ears. It made for a funny picture, I thought! Definitely a memory-maker! Another reason I laugh, is that their little legs are too cute...very short and just hanging out!
In preparation for Reece's 1st birthday and the sweets, I let him lick the batter off of my whisk. He LOVED the yummy taste. He was very content in his highchair for the longest time.

After the chocolate, there was no doubt about what to do next... BATHTIME!Saturday morning, Livi hung out with us--- so the 2 cousins bathed together... they are both old enough to sit up and play by themselves. It is adorable to watch!
Sunday, April 12th we celebrated Resurrection Sunday. The Griffin 3 dressed up and here we are! Reece's outfit makes me smile. I realize he will only dress like this while he is a youngster... not many opportunities for this type of outfit in life!
And finally, here is an ALL-SMILES from today!

Lastly, if you're in the Kingdom Keys Network listening audience, tune in tomorrow and Friday morning at 7 a.m. if you'd like to hear me host the Morning program. It is alot of fun and I've been able to do it while my boss (Ricky Pfeil) and pastor has been out of town!
Or you can listen online. I'm on until 8:30 and I have a good time. Join me!
'til next time,

11 months old!

Dear Reece,
You are just over 11 months old! Your Daddy and I have been so amazed to watch you grow everyday. You've been crawling for a few months and you pull up on almost everything. We find ourselves astonished when we realize how quickly time passes and how quickly you learn things! Lately you've been pointing at things and calling both of us by name!
What a blessing you have been to each of us. Your love for family is reflected in all that you do. You love playing with your cousin, Livi. You two are quite a duo... buddies for life!
The new carseat has made you feel like such a big boy! I often use my rear-view mirror to check on you, and I'll look back- seeing you sing along to the Praise & Worship music we listen to, or babbling away while we drive by different places in town. Sometimes I think you are 11 months going on 11 years! All of a sudden, you've grown into a big boy! Of course, if you're tired- you'll crash out in the car, maybe with your fingers in your mouth... and that reminds me that you are only 11 months...whew, what a relief!
Like I mentioned, you love being around family.

You especially like swinging at the park. When you discovered a swing for the first time a couple of months ago, you smiled and laughed constantly! So now, on warm afternoons- we usually make time to go and swing!
The slides you aren't always so sure about. If it's a small slide, you can handle it... but if it's taller, you don't like it so much!
Put you in a tube though, and you love it! You'll hang out in it for half an hour, peeking through the holes ever-so-often!
Oh how I love you! It is hard to believe that in fewer than 30 days, you will be ONE! What a wonderful year we are having with you! You sparkle and shine in our lives, giving even more reasons for us to give thanks unto the Lord! We pray that the truth of Jesus Christ and His love continue to permeate your precious, tender heart. Keep on singing with me in the car! Keep on bubbling with the joy of the Lord. And we will keep on cherishing every moment, thanking God for all He has done!
We love you dearly,
your Momma & Daddy
