More Pictures... Reece at 2 wks & 3 wks!

On our way to my Grandmother's 85th birthday in Big Spring, we decided to take some pictures of precious Reece (2 weeks). Here's the Farley girls with Dad and the grandson Reece, who is totally disguised in the sling! The Griffin 3:

My Gram'a (Jean Ann Farley) holding her precious great-grandson, baby Reece. This is her first great-grandson. And what a special meeting it was for these two!
After the organ recital honoring my Gram'a, we posed for a quick one... It's Mom, baby Reece, me, and Erin.

At the dinner following the day's festivities, we opted for the "Farley Grandkids & Great" with Gram'a!

Now here are more of Reece... 3 weeks!
As you can see, he enjoys his morning swing time!

And look at his double chin!

Oh how he's grown... do you see that belly?

He was very relaxed after his bath. He loves his baths and here he is enjoying the "Calming Vibrations" in his rocker.

Just about to yawn...

For now, these are the "latest and greatest" photos of Reece. Last week I just totally neglected to take pics of him, but I'll keep the camera laying out to remind me this week.
One week ago, we saw the pediatrician and she said that he was weighing what he should weigh at 4 weeks... mind you, this was when he was 2 weeks... so, we know he's healthy and likes to eat! Through the past week, it seems like he's grown drastically. Not only physically... but he's also sleeping better at night. Garrett and I are enjoying him more and more... everyday gets sweeter and sweeter! He is falling into a routine much better and his whole gassy spells are less and less. Garrett and I certainly know how to handle him better and we're learning more everyday. We love him and are so grateful he's in our lives!
We will continue to post more since he'll just continue growing!
Loving you all & baby Reece,
G&F

he's here... and i'm finally posting!!! :)

Yes--- to all of our friends and family... we know it has almost been a week since Reece's birth, and we are just now posting... for that, I apologize. Let's just say that it has been full of transitions and late nights and wonderful moments bonding with our baby boy!
For instance, the labor was late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon when he arrived at 4:22 p.m. So, we've been catching up on much-needed sleep and of course, spending time with our precious 8 lb, 4.5 oz baby boy. What a treasure he is!

The entire experience was such a blessing. Those 20 hours were probably some of the most focused 20 hours of my life. And with great help from my lifelong friend and husband, we made it through with ease. I say "ease," because it seems like I could do that again tomorrow if I needed to. Garrett says it will be a few years ;) But, those 20 hours were very focused and we made it through with baby Reece being perfect and whole... praise the Lord! Those were actually the words I said once he delivered... I shouted, "Praise the Lord" because I couldn't believe it was already over! haha... I thought it was going to take alot longer... but no, he came perfectly and we continually give God the glory. Also, Erin was a huge help during the process... she was there with us through it all and helped us all stay on track. Once baby Reece came, I looked over and saw Garrett and Erin just whaling with huge tears coming down their faces. It was a moment I will never forget.
Then I met our baby boy. I was ecstatic! Garrett and I are forever blessed. When our pastors came to visit, Pastor Diana said something that really impacted me--- "Isn't it amazing to know that you gave birth to him... someone who will live forever with God."
Yes, he has an eternal spirit and that touches Garrett and me most of all. We are ever blessed to nurture him in the admonition of the Lord.
... we will continue to keep you posted (hopefully more quickly) and we'll add pictures because we have soooo many!
loving you all and baby Reece,
Farrell & Garrett
