Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

a few pictures from the past week...

"Reece" literally means "enthusiasm!" How fitting!
Oh how we love our enthusiastic, little one!

The real Douglas fir puts off a wonderful, evergreen, piney smell! It is so pleasant in our home!
Back to my previous thought on our enthusiastic one...
"Enthusiasm" comes from the greek words, "en" "theos" "usia" ... or "God in you!" That's our little Reece!

There's no place like home for the holidays...

"There's no place like home for the holidays,
No matter how far away we roam..."
Home was definitely in our hearts and on our minds this past Thanksgiving!
Reece was cleaning up here, for all the fun we would have during Thanksgiving week! He was very excited about the family.
And here he is on Thanksgiving day with his cousin Livi, helping GrandDaddy and Nam'a in the kitchen.

Eating a green bean before they were put on the stove, Reece was having fun while Livi was curious about that long, green thing in his mouth!
And here's the precious girl giving us one of her priceless smiles!
Part of the Thanksgiving table before the entire meal was spread out.
Just resting after a great meal!
Watching the football games....
Reece is all ready for bed and ready to munch down on the Christmas tree light... if only he could get the light to his mouth! Napping on Friday morning before we hit the road home...

While Reece was napping, we got a family photo (without the guys who were lounging around- watching a movie in the den).
The Farley's and their girls ;)
Getting back from Oklahoma City, Grandpa Jelly and G were ready to see Reece again! Here they are so happy. And finally, Reece got to see Uncle Coley and Aunt Angela again... before Thanksgiving week, he hadn't seen them since his birth!
He was having fun and wanted to let everyone to know... look at the joy on his face.
Getting up on all fours has been a recurring activity for him each day. He tends to move backward rather than forward. We are very proud of his every progress!
Look at those Griffin boys... up to no good! haha! They're all smiles- maybe they're hiding something from us!
A great family picture... all of the Griffin's on Saturday night before they left on Sunday back up to Wyoming. And the Griffin's again, with GiGi (or Grandma, as Garrett would say).

Oh what a blessed time it was, to celebrate life, love, and family during Thanksgiving. We are so grateful for the Lord and His Word. We are so appreciative for our family and love each one of them so dearly. We made great memories during the holiday, and look toward the day when we can all live closer to each other.
"Home" will always live big in our hearts... whether in Amarillo or on the road, it's a place to love and be loved.
And there's never any other place like home during these special times!
~and a special happy birthday to Reece on this day as we celebrate his 7 month mark! He is a growing, learning bundle of love!~
until next time,
*farrell*
